Whooping Cough
Whooping cough is a serious viral disease that causes severe coughing and is associated with complications such as pneumonia and unfortunately is sometimes fatal. Dr Blashki talks about the importance of vaccinating household contacts against whooping cough which is caused by the Bordetella Pertussis virus. It's very important that household contacts of a newborn baby who have not been vaccinated for 10 years talk to their doctor about having a whooping cough vaccination.
