Hearing Loss

Our hearing is so important to connect us with others. Early changes of hearing loss may begin with simple struggling to understand someone in a noisy setting such as a café or party, but over time can the deficit can become more pronounced. The important thing is to not deny the problem and to get assessed early and find out what the problem is – for instance is it sensorineural ( the nerves) or a conduction ( blockage) sort of problem?   Your GP will be a good start to assess you. Often the GP will refer you to have hearing tests and other investigations as needed.
